What happens to people after they die?

Ed

To me, this is like asking 'what happens to a tree after it dies'?  The physical object ceases to be what it was.  It is now a big bunch of organic matter that will decompose (in one way or another) and dissolve amongst all the other organic matter which surrounds it.  When I die, there will be no more 'me'.  I won't cook and eat any more meals and I won't breathe any more air.  My body will stop delivering oxygen to my brain so my brain will stop manufacturing the experiences that add up to 'me'.  I don't think I'll be very worried about all this at that stage.
