Part A: Who is this?
Have you ever heard the expression 'donít judge a book by its cover'? It reminds us that we should not make assumptions about people based on how they look. Nonetheless, most of us do make some assumptions about people from time to time.
For example, if we need to know the time, we might assess the people walking past before deciding which person to ask. While this may seem harmless, assumptions are often wrong and can be used to 'label' people incorrectly.
In this activity you will think about the assumptions you make about names, jobs and the places people live. You will be shown images of six Australians. You must guess from a list their first name, their profession and their place of residence.
