How do you feel about fundamentalism and extremism?

Islam is a religion of Peace, of taking the Middle Path and being moderate.  There is no room for extremism, fanatics or radicals in Islam.  These attitudes are deviations from the true teachings of Islam.  Fundamentalism and extremism are two very different issues.

Fundamentalism is following the original traditional teachings of Islam.  This is what all practising Muslims do.

Extremism is to be fanatical or radical about one's identity and live by taking the harshest ways of living.
